As a resident - free from the mundane chores of everyday life - you’ll have the time to pursue travel, bridge, crafts, sports and the joy of new
friendships. The Village activities staff organizes escorted trips to popular
destinations in Florida, the US and abroad. You’ll enjoy trips to the theater or the symphony. There are shopping trips as well
as visits to libraries, malls, and favorite restaurants. The activities staff
takes care of all the details and transportation.
Activities include a Red Hat Society Chapter, a wood, metal, and stained glass
workshop, shuffleboard, horseshoes, putting
|
green, and heated swimming pool. Golf and tennis are played at nearby public and
private clubs.
Visit one of our eight libraries, take a stroll around scenic Lake Maggie or Rex
Foster Lake. Ride your bike or just relax in the therapeutic whirlpool.
Weekly religious services are conducted in the Village, and transportation is
available to the many local houses of worship.
There is always something happening at John Knox Village with a complete
calendar of activities, events, lectures, recreation, shows, exhibits, and
music to inform, educate and entertain you.
