Home Health Agency Creates Liaison Position

POMPANO BEACH – 02/13/12 – On January 23, a familiar face at John Knox Village began a new position. Jim Stavrojohn, who was our second shift Security Supervisor, started as the Home Health Agency’s (HHA) new Community Liaison.

“This is a new position for Home Health. We are fortunate enough to have hired Jim who has a vast knowledge in sales and marketing,” said Barbara DuBois, Director of the Home Health Agency.

As Community Liaison, Jim will mostly be outside The Village informing the general public about our Home Health Agency, which provides home care for JKV residents and for seniors residing in surrounding South Florida communities who wish to remain in their homes.
Our HHA offers aide service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Some of the assistance includes personal care, shopping, light housekeeping, escorting seniors to doctor appointments, church and other outings if required. In addition, our State licensed registered nurse case managers help with weekly medication management, daily if necessary.

“We are hoping that Jim’s position will help increase off campus business and increase our overall revenue,” Barbara added.

In March of 2011, Jim became part of our family. “I knew a lot about John Knox Village from my mother (Evonne Stavrojohn, recently retired Executive Assistant) and everything she was involved with here at JKV,” said Jim, who previously has more than 10 years of customer service experience in the automobile industry.

His knowledge and previous experiences will be utilized when he establishes relationships with local business leaders and other organizations. Jim will be busy scheduling a number of speaking engagements each month to these groups.

“This truly is an exciting opportunity to inform others about our Home Health Agency,” Jim said. “It will help obtain more referrals and get the word out that we are more than just a premier retirement community.”

In Jim’s spare time, he is an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoys golfing, fishing and other outdoor activities. We wish him the best of luck, as he represents John Knox Village and our Home Health Agency in the community.
