The beach area is currently going through a multi-billion dollar redevelopment process and the area now offers miles of beautiful beach and the warm waters of the Gulf Stream. Pompano is a great place to kick back, enjoy the surf and even look for the famous Goodyear blimp that calls Pompano Beach home.
Sports fans will find lots to do. The Miami Marlins are at nearby Marlins Stadium. The Miami Dolphins battle it out just a short drive away and hockey and basketball enthusiasts are only minutes from the Miami Heat and the Florida Panthers. For golfers, the area boasts some of the most beautiful and challenging courses. It is said that a golfer could play a different course every day and still not tee off on all the links within 30 minutes of Pompano Beach. For those who are more interested in fast four-legged sports, the city is home to the world famous Pompano Harness Track.
