This tremendous Village-wide event enables 17 resident organizations to recognize their many volunteers, let you know what they do, and invite you to join them. This year's inductees will be announced for the Volunteer Hall of Fame. Join us in the Auditorium starting at 2:00pm.
•9/4 Koffee Klatch presents Tropical Clogggers & Clickers. Get motivated by this energitic group. Donuts at 9:00am
followed by the show at 9:30am in the Auditorium.
•9/4 Big Game Night Play your favorite board game. Take your pick of Hearts, Rummikub, Uno, Sequence, Cribbage, Scrabble, Yahtzee or call with your favorite. At 7:00pm in the Village Towers Party Room.
•9/9 Computer Class "Have Computer...Now What?" Join this class taught by our own JKV resident and computer expert Jim Griffin. This is an introductory course on how to use your computer. Every Thursday this month starting the 9th through the 30th. Call the Activities Department for more details.
•9/9 & 9/10 Great Overlooked Films of the 20th Century presents "I Wake Up Screaming." Resident Byron Chandler hosts this entertaining
monthly series. In the Hibiscus Room at 7pm on the 9th, and 3pm on the 10th.
•9/14 Gardens West Open House. Come see the new look, the renovations are now complete from 1:00pm through 3:00pm.
•9/15 JKV Afternoon Exchange presents "National Cemetery Administration." Learn about how the National Cemetery Administration honors veterans with lasting tributes that commemorate their service to the nation. In the Auditorium starting at 2:00pm.
•9/16 Day Trip to Vizcaya. Join us for a visit to this extraordinary National Historic Landmark which includes a mansion filled with exquisite art and furnishings located on 10-acres at Biscayne Bay. Take the tour followed by lunch at Bubba Gump's at Bayside. Leave the Village at 8:30am.
•9/17 Visual Independence Program is a great opportunity for all residents challenged with low vision to learn ways to adapt and stay independent. Sean Cody from the Lighthouse of Broward will speak. In the Hibiscus Room at 2:00pm.
•9/20 Birthday Party presents Iris Revson. Welcome this new vocalist to our stage, as Iris sings pop, showtunes, and light opera. Her experiences include performances at Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center and even the Parker Playhouse. Help celebrate the birthdays of the month. At 7:30pm in the Auditorium. Refreshments after the show.
•9/22 Theatre Outing to Stage Door Theatre for "Mack & Mabel." Join us for an afternoon at this musical show with a blockbuster score by Jerry Herman that was nominated for 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical. Leave the Village at
1:00pm.
•9/25 Spectacular Saturday presents Mei Mei Luo. Mei Mei is one of our JKV family of entertainers who share their passion with us on our stage. In the Auditorium at 7:30pm.
