“I was surprised that so much was available
here and we could have a dog! In the Village, we have the ability to
live a secure independent life while still working in the ‘real
world.’ I recommend to my friends, ‘Come live in our
neighborhood, we know you would like it!’”
– Peggy Barber
John Knox Village is an exceptional
home for independent living residents who enjoy the social interaction
and rich schedule of daily activities.
When you live at John Knox Village,
time is on your side. Life-care living may actually extend life. Many
of the John Knox Village residents move here in their 60’s and
70’s. They remain active longer, eat nutritionally and enjoy
social interaction, which keeps them young at heart. Plus they have the
peace of mind that nursing care will be provided, if and when the need
arises. Many of our residents are living independently well into their
90’s and even 100’s.
The residents of John Knox Village
enjoy an active lifestyle. They travel, take part in computer and
fitness clubs, play bridge, and relish the many outside entertainment
programs in the 300 seat auditorium. They are active in Village affairs
serving as corporate board members, or participating on the Village
Senate. They are also active in the community, and they volunteer. In
fact over half are regular volunteers throughout the Village. The big
difference between the residents of John Knox Village and those folks
who don’t have a long-term life-care plan is that our residents
know where and how they will be cared for.
