Beverly Cardinal
John Knox Village resident Beverly Cardinal has been elected as President of the John Knox Village Foundation. She assumed her position on January 1st from past-President Michael McLain, who submitted his resignation effective at the end of 2010. Mr. McLain will continue to serve John Knox Village as a member of the JKV Board of Directors.

Mrs. Beverly Cardinal has been elected President of the John Knox Village Foundation. She has been a resident of the Village since 2004, and will oversee the financial responsibilities and growth of the Foundation during her term.

The Foundation began in 2003, and received its 501(c)3 not-for-profit status in 2006 to operate exclusively for the benefit of John Knox Village of Florida, Inc. The Foundation was officially funded in 2007 and is presently governed by a board of seven resident directors, and two directors from outside the Village.
Mrs. Cardinal said after her first days on the job, she is looking forward to a busy and energizing term
“As President, I will preside at all meetings of the Foundation Board of Directors, and with the advice and help of eight other very talented and skilled Foundation Directors will continue the good work of the Foundation,” Mrs. Cardinal said.
She plans to continue fulfilling responsibilities to grow the funds of the Foundation in a safe and responsible way and to ensure all funds are disbursed according to the specific wishes and purpose of the donor, as well as overseeing plans to continue growth and development.
“We will continue with our communications goals, go forward with plans to hire a Development Officer and work towards our number one goal of helping to raise the funds for the John Knox Village New Health Center.”
The Foundation helps fund the efforts of John Knox Village, a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community (CCRC) which opened in 1967 to provide seniors aged 62 and over, comprehensive life-care where they have whatever care is needed for life.
